Our Story
A Lifetime of Imagination
Foldaments was created by Richard Freudenthal, a designer and inventor whose career has been dedicated to bringing extraordinary ideas to life.
For more than 40 years, Richard has worked in the world of entertainment design and scenic fabrication, creating extraordinary environments, attractions, theatrical scenery, and spectacular experiences.
Through his company, Entertainment Construction Services, his projects have included work for Universal Studios, Six Flags, major Las Vegas resorts, Broadway productions, and major corporate events and parties, including Harley-Davidson.

The Problem That Inspired an Invention
Everyone loves beautiful decorations. But what happens when the celebration is over?
Traditional large decorations take up valuable space in closets, attics, garages, and warehouses.
Hard-sided ornaments can be beautiful, but they're bulky to store and expensive to transport.
Inflatable decorations solve part of the storage problem, but often require pumps, electricity, extension cords, or noisy blower motors. They can also limit the sophistication of the artwork and design.
Why couldn't a decoration offer the beauty and structure of a traditional ornament, with the convenience of storing almost completely flat?
Four Years. One Extraordinary Solution.
That question led to four years of design, experimentation, and geometric engineering.
Richard developed a unique faceted structure that allows a three-dimensional decorative globe to open in seconds and collapse nearly flat when it's time to put it away.
No pumps. No electricity. No motors. No complicated assembly.
Just a beautiful decorative globe that transforms from flat to fabulous in seconds.
The result is Foldaments—an innovative invention supported by extensive patent work, bringing together sophisticated artwork, three-dimensional form, and remarkable space-saving convenience.
There's nothing quite like Foldaments.
